Listings from these stores.

Every listing sits against what the same configuration usually sells for in the same condition. Apple's price is one point in the set, not the yardstick.
Thirteen weeks of usual prices show how asking prices for this configuration have moved, and whether waiting has been paying off.
How worn it is, the battery, what the seller says, and what happens if it's wrong. In the same place on every listing, whichever store it's from.
Unlocked or which carrier, before you click.
The store itself or a third-party seller, with the seller's rating where the store gives one.
Each store's window, and who backs the warranty.
We don't vouch for any store. We show what each one promises. Back Market sells from independent refurbishers, promises the device arrives working, and the 1-year warranty comes from the refurbisher. Swappa is person-to-person, with no returns and no warranty; Swappa staff enforce a refund if the item is not as described.
Refurbished means a refurbisher or Apple restored it and sells it under its own terms: Apple with a 1-year warranty, Back Market with a 1-year warranty from the refurbisher, Best Buy with 90 days. Renewed is Amazon's refurbished program, with a battery minimum of 80% and 90-day returns. Used is sold as the owner has it; on Swappa the seller grades it. Open box is Best Buy's returned stock, graded by Best Buy, accessories included.
It depends on the store. Apple gives 14 days, Back Market 30, Best Buy 15 (14 on phones, with a $45 restocking fee), Amazon Renewed 90 (Renewed Premium 365), Swappa none. The listing shows which applies.
Each store grades on its own scale, and most grade looks, not battery. Amazon Renewed counts battery only as a minimum. So a phone graded Excellent with an 87% battery breaks no store's rules. Apple refurbished iPhones are the exception: they come with a new battery. We show the store's word beside ours.
Apple refurbished iPhones come with a new battery. Back Market and Amazon Renewed set an 80% minimum, 90% on their premium tiers. On Swappa the number is the seller's reading. Best Buy publishes no battery figure. On a MacBook, look at the cycle count against Apple's rating of about 1,000; Apple makes no battery claim on its refurbished Macs. We label which kind each listing has.
The listing shows whether an iPhone is unlocked or tied to a carrier. Whether it is blacklisted or activation locked is not something these listings state. A financed phone can be blacklisted weeks after the sale, even after an IMEI check, which is often after the return window closes.
No. We never handle a device. We relay what the store and seller state, and say whose claim it is.
It depends on where it came from. Apple refurbished devices can get AppleCare. Buyers of marketplace-refurbished iPhones, such as Amazon Renewed, and of phones bought privately, report they could not add it. AppleCare+ is offered only for a set time after a device's first sale.
Here every price is for the one configuration you picked, in a named condition, with the store's grade, the battery where stated, and its returns beside it.
